FAQs

FAQ's ::

What kind of discs can be repaired?
Any kind! An example of what we are able to repair are: PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, DVD movies, Blu-ray movies, DVD-R's, CD-R's, music CD's, photo discs and computer disc based software and games. We also can repair two sided discs and smaller size corporate and medical record discs.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is calculated automatically by our online ordering system. USPS is a flat rate for up to 10 discs, and UPS is calculated dynamically for more than 10 discs. NOTE: The UPS shipping charges are calculated for shipping to and from SureDisc. This means that the calculated UPS shipping fee is double the standard one-way shipping rate.

How do you fix my disc?
SureDisc does not 'clean' your disc--we completely resurface it to be just like new. We use a unique wet sand process along with a patented repair technology that ensures a smooth, precise, high quality finish. Your disc can be repaired multiple times WITHOUT ANY DATA LOSS. Our resurfacing process is extremely flexible. Each disc is individually evaluated by one of our technicians to determine the severity of damage on each disc. Our technician then sets the machine to a setting specifically determined by the severity of damage to your particular disc, from minor to severe. This allows us to fix almost any damaged disc with just the right amount of control. Your disc is therefore not exposed to any excessive polishing. This allows for your disc to be repaired over and over without data loss in the future.

Is my disc repairable?
In most cases, yes. Scratches, wear, and typical "scratch" damage on a disc is easy to repair. Even a disc with a scratch that seems extremely deep can be repaired by our machines--without damaging the data on the disc!

Here are the issues we cannot fix:
Cracks, dents, creases, bite marks, chemical damage, foil damage, manufacturing defects, heat or cold damage, cracked, broken, water damage, heat damage(melted), warped discs or any where the data foil is removed.

Any disc that we receive in this condition cannot be fixed and therefore would not be charged. We would return your disc or recycle it for you.

How long does the process take?
Once we receive the disc, we can usually ship you repaired discs within about 72 hours of receiving them. Expedited / Air shipping is also available for an extra charge. You can also save time by sending in you discs with you own packaging instead of waiting for our shipping materials to be mailed to you. For our address and shipping information, please see the "Contact Us" page.

How do you know my disc is fixed?
Each disc, once repaired in our machine is then inserted into a special drive where the playability is determined. Once passed, your disc is shipped to you. If your disc does not pass, we will notify you and either return your disc or destroy and recycle it for you.

Do you offer quantity discounts?
